WHY FATS LIMBAUGH IS IMPORTANT

It isn't just the size of his listening audience that's the issue, it's his representing the GOP and, more generally, conservatives in America.

On March 29, 2007, Brent Bozell's Media Research Center awarded Limbaugh its first annual William F. Buckley, Jr. Award for Media Excellence.

On February 1, 2007, the Landmark Legal Foundation, headed by the right-wing lunatic Mark Levin, nominated Limbaugh for the Nobel Peace Prize.

On November 19, 2004, the Claremont Institute gave Limbaugh its Statesmanship Award at its annual Churchill Dinner.

In December 10, 1994, the incoming GOP freshman class in the House of Representatives made Limbaugh an honorary Republican member of the House.
