THE CONSERVATIVE EXTREMISTS

I noted before that Hayek and Eric Hoffer saw the connection between leftist radicals and conservative radicals and now I learn from Jonathan Chait (p. 236) that there are many others who took the same path from the radical left to the radical right. Among them are Whittaker Chambers, James Burnham, Frank Meyer, Wilmoore Kendall and Norman Podhoretz.
