JUST FOR THE RECORD...

The pre-emptive wingnut whining about VP debate moderator Gwen Ifill being biased in favor of Obama/Biden didn't pan out. CNN did an insta-poll of those who said they saw the debate and:
Respondents overwhelmingly said moderator Gwen Ifill was fair during the vice presidential debate, repudiating critics who said that Ifill, of PBS, would be biased because she is writing a book that includes Biden's running mate, Sen. Barack Obama.

Ninety-five percent of those polled said Ifill was fair.

The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

CNN also found that 51% thought Biden did the best job to only 35% for Palin. THIS is the gap that the McCain campaign should be VERY worried about:
On the question of the candidates' qualifications to assume the presidency, 87 percent of those polled said Biden is qualified and 42 percent said Palin is qualified.

CBS polled 473 uncommitted voters and found a similar disparity:
Fifty-five percent say Palin is prepared for the job, up from 39 percent before the debate. Ninty-seven percent say Biden is prepared, up from 81 percent pre-debate.

When you poll primarily liberal voters don't be surprised when your results don't match the mainstream majority ideas on the debate winner. From the middle class heartland (you know..us folks in the vast majority) Palin won hands down. She said what we needed to hear, and Biden spent his time suffering from Bush derangement syndrome.

palin does understand the problems of the average american, after all , she is one of us. I bet you that Biden does not worry about the price of gas going up simply because we pay for it. neither does Obama. I must say that after voting for Bush, I am disapointed in the way have let things happen Iraq. that war should have been over long ago. we should have let our soldiers take care of the situation and then brought them home. The only thing is we cannot do that because we still stand by the outdate, stupid geneva conventions. Anyway, thats enough on that.

I bet if the poll was taken from a true cross section of the country the results would have been different. as it was stated, if poll liberal voters you get the result that is expected according to the liberal media. palin hit a home run with the working class american, like myself. Now lets hope that america does the right thing and sends Obama and Biden back home, and not to the whitehouse. heck, just being senators puts them to close to the office as it is.

(snort!) You delude yourself into thinking that you can speak for the heartland.

You do realize that Alaska has socilized it's oil and gas reserves?

"socilized" is a typo, I meant "socialized"
