HEMMER: Closing moment I have here. Back to the previous point I was making. If Republicans are swept out of power, who becomes the leader of the party in your view?

INGRAHAM: Well, I think that for all the elites on the right, you know, pooh-poohing Sarah Palin and saying she doesn't have the intellectual chops for the future. I think what she has done in these final weeks, after the Katie Couric unfortunate interview and so forth, is she has really shown that she has a vision that connects with, you know, Joe the Plumber people and also smart people, not just people who are in the middle class, blue collar types. These are people across the country.
