KEEPING A TORTURE SCORECARD

We now know that FBI personnel have refuted the claims by the torture-cons that torture worked and we know that the military group in charge of SERE training also doubted that it would be effective. Now, we learn that the CIA's Inspector General in 2004 found that there was no evidence that torture worked. (h/t Atrios)

WASHINGTON — The CIA inspector general in 2004 found that there was no conclusive proof that waterboarding or other harsh interrogation techniques helped the Bush administration thwart any "specific imminent attacks," according to recently declassified Justice Department memos.
