INTERESTING LINE

Charles Raasch in USA Today wrote this:
Yet Palin's move to the conservative network says much about the merger of media, politics and popular culture.

This immediately brought to mind conservative host Michael Medved's description of his radio show - "the intersection of politics and pop culture" - and also brought to mind why I find this frightening: the conservatives are trying to politicize almost everything. Another way to put this is that conservatives have expanded politics to include almost all facets of life and that reminds me of the monist approach of classical Marxism.
