MY OWN BIASES
Some time ago in his NYT blog, Paul Krugman claimed that NYC was a place where the rich do in fact support the entire city and is a real example of "trickle down" economics. I wasn't emotionally prepared to admit that at the time but I can see now that he was correct. Similarly, when I read Cass Sunstein's paper, I was emotionally reluctant to admit that it really was that extreme, not because I'm a fan of Sunstein but because I want very much for Pres. Obama to succeed. Of course, success will mean little if he institutes domestic intelligence policies that go back to the bad old days of Johnson and Nixon.
