WHY THE LIE?

On his radio show, Beck had on Mr. Huntsman of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, part of the University of Utah. Huntsman said the Center is funded solely by private money and that seems to be a lie.

On this page, we learn that the Center is "designated a National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center". We also learn that "The Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) supports cancer research performed by more than 130 members of our Cancer Center."

The Cancer Center Support Grant comes from the National Cancer Institute, which is part of the National Institutes of Health. In other words, Huntsman gets Federal research money.
