"CHARACTER COUNTS"

That's the tagline for Granpa McCain's radio ads and leaving aside his flagrant hypocrisy of moving to the far right just for his re-election campaign, we also have the plain fact that the press doesn't often tell us about character, unless their making shit up about Al Gore.

A recent POLITICO story drew some attention for revealing this fact and reminded me of a book on the 2008 campaign, "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime,” by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.

It seems that almost all the people running were often ill-tempered and rude, including Granpa:
Senator John McCain, “both middle fingers raised,” rebuking his wife, Cindy, for interrupting him.
