The leftists will never get it. America is a generally conservative nation. The founding fathers were ultraconservative, bypassing by miles the conservatives of today. All one has to do is read the writings of the forefathers of this country to see that they were God fearing, gun toting moral thinking men who despised the way of thought that prevails the current White House and it's leftist Democrat party.
The leftists desire the economic and political philosophy that has virtually bankrupted Europe, Cuba, South America and any other socialist Marxist government. This is why this political way of thought needs a dictator and a puppet and corrupt legislature. It can never survive at the hands of a capitalist democracy. Obama knows this. It is no surprise that he has wrestled control of the banking, health and automobile manufacturing industries from their private owners and making 'us,' the American people it's investors. He of course now is using the BP oil spill disaster to take over the oil indusrty. All of this in light of the fact that it's a huge failure everywhere its been tried historically.
The real bottom line is that the leftist's want a society where they can live and do anything that the heart desires or their lust can conceive without consequence or cost. Unfortunately, not even nature itself can run its course without the consequence of its actions. What goes up must come down. It's the nature of the beast if you will. For one thing, you cannot have the American success story with a society that does not strive for success but seeks only its own pleasure. President Obama is a microcosm of this as we see him spending more of his time golfing, dating, vacationing, and world hopping while the business of running the nation is like a six horse team running wild with no driver. It's headed for a crash.
