I JUST HAD A LITTLE POLITICAL SATORI MOMENT

I was reading this blog post and came across this phrase, "Shiftless Negro" and some other facts I barely noticed took on a new meaning.

For months, maybe years, I've heard Sean Hannity and Mark Levin claim that Pres. Obama is only in it for the perks such as Air Force One, Camp David, the parties at the WH, etc. I thought those claims were so out of line that they were self-refuting but I didn't get the Big Picture then. I do now - the GOP is deliberately playing the Race Card to get as many angry whites to vote for Mitten$ the Vulture Capitalist as possible. They are making the point that Pres. Obama is taking money from white hard-working Americans and giving it to "shiftless Negros" and that message rings true with all too many people (see here, here and here for similar observations.)

I guess Glenda Beck's hateful remark about Pres. Obama ("a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.") should've have been the alarm clock that woke me up to the revival of the GOP's Southern Strategy.  Since then, there have been tiny bubbles of racism from local GOP officials all across the country (see here, here and here) and the more recent "walnut incident" at the RNC:
Republican Attendees Threw Nuts At Black CNN Camerawoman, Called Her An 'Animal'
UPDATE: I forgot about Fats Limbaugh calling Michelle Obama "Moochelle", as if she were a street hustler.

I won't bother to research and attempt to cite any examples on the other side from the Obama/Dem Elite camp. Notice I don't even claim I could find them, to formalize the disclaimer.

What I will say, is the demographic to which the GOP elite
is appealing, will not benefit from, but only be harmed, by a Romney presidency about as much, give or take, imo, as by the current president.

I agree and that's what made "What's the matter with Kansas" a good read.

You'll never please everybody. I just read a British socialist's commentary who was not please the Guardian is now publishing Greenwald. He called him something like, a puppet for the left wing of the corporate elite.

Jeez.
