THE RADIO GASBAGS' NATURAL AUDIENCE

This WSJ article suggests that the real divide in America is geographical, between rural and urban populations.   If you don't have a subscription to the WSJ, here's a big chart that condenses the article.  I found one major point: the disparity in population.  No matter what Sarah Palin may tell you, by far MOST Americans live in urban areas. According to the WSJ, about 260 million in contrast to merely 46 million who live in rural areas.  As Digby points out, one problem with our system of government is the Senate, which gives a unhealthy disproportionate representation to the rural areas such as Wyoming.
