(Reuters) - Japan has ordered a destroyer in the Sea of Japan to strike any ballistic missiles that may be launched by North Korea in the coming weeks after Pyongyang fired a Rodong medium-range missile over the sea, a government source said on Saturday.
Japanese Aegis destroyers in the Sea of Japan are equipped with advanced radar equipment able to track multiple targets and carry missiles designed to take out targets at the edge of space.

AS VP BIDEN MIGHT SAY...
this is a "big fucking deal." I can't recall Japan ever taking such an active role toward N. Korea and my emotional reaction is "it's about time!!!"

Frsankly, if NK can be maintained as a small indirect distractive check on Amer-Israeli warmongering, even it can be of positive service. I say this partly in respect to Hagel's lecturing the Chinese about what is proper behaviour in the.....South China Sea.
With regard to the Paul piece, why do the MJ and similar writers never bother to "embellish" a piece like this with the plaint that if Obama had done his job, if not administered in the spirit of his campaign tone, Cheney would be in no position to be attacking "isolationists" in the GOP just now, unless given phone privileges from The Hague.
