LOCAL TIDBIT

Emil Franzi, a Pima County AZ native, hosts a conservative radio on KVOI from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday.  He's pretty much another cranky old & ignorant white man and just now he mentioned that he was close to  Murray Rothbard for a number of years.  I suppose the best summary of Rothbard's ideas is here:
A prolific author and Austrian economist, Murray Rothbard promoted a form of free market anarchism he called “anarcho-capitalism.”

Economist Murray N. Rothbard mounted the most comprehensive intellectual challenge ever attempted against the legitimacy of government. During a career that spanned more than 40 years, he explained why private individuals, private companies and other voluntary associations can do whatever needs to be done.
Rothbard was mainly influenced by the horrid von Mises and that;s why there's a Rothbard bio on the von Mises site.

UPDATE: Rothbard also supported neo-fascist Pat Buchanan in the latter's primary challenge to George H. W. Bush.

Both Rothbard,(a strict Ron Paul non-interventionist)-and his anarcho-capitalism,and Buchanan are superior to neolibs and with Buchanan's election, no Persian Gulf war hence, no Iraq War.

But the author is right-Buchanan was not only too late in leaving the GOP, he was too soon in returning to it.
