Their decision against affirmative action was soon followed by two racist outbursts from white guys, Sterling and Bundy. Their decision supporting prayer at public meetings occurred in a social context of a Congressman (Louie Gohmert) asserting that the Constitution only applied to people “who cling to their God and their guns.” and a state of Alabama chief justice asserting that the 1st Amendment only applies to Christians. Ignorance of the political reality of religion is inexcusable.
UPDATE: The chief justice took back his comment the next day but he's been an asshat for a long time so I don't believe him.
