Today Glenn Beck jumped another shark and described the current situation as the result of a long-standing Marxist plot to destroy capitalism in America. He seems to have gotten this paranoid idea from this entry at Crazy Davey Horowitz's Discover the Networks. The idea originated in 1966 with 2 Columbia professors who urged flooding the bureaucracy with impossible demands, thus hastening the revolution.
An article by Nancy Coppock in American Thinker extended this conspiracy to Pres. Obama's economic policies, which she claims are designed to increase Americans dependency on the welfare state and lessen the need for a capitalist system.
