As bad as the attacks on 9/11 were, I didn't fall for the hysteria the wingers were trying to create. In part, this was because I was not only born in 1952 and experienced the real fear of nuclear annihilation during the Cuban Missile Crisis but also because I grew up in a town that had a SAC base where B-52s were stationed. They flew 24/7/365, so there was no way to forget that a nuclear war was a real possibility.
